Consider participating in the first AIM International Story Slam!
Medicine contains a rich tapestry of stories. Stories can teach, heal, connect and inspire us all. Unlock the power of academic international medicine and share your story!
The AIM 2019 story slam theme is:
From The Far Corners Of The World--Stories That Connect Us
We've included some links from the Temple Narrative Medicine story slams below, for those interested in seeing what a slam is like, and to get an idea of the variety of styles and stories. Dress is casual.
The AIM 2019 story slam will be on July 26th from 5:30pm to 8:00PM with an intermission. Dinner will be served. There will be time for people to share their stories, and then at the end, the audience will vote to determine the winner of the slam. Each story will be 5 minutes max. We encourage those interested to speak from the heart. Reading is NOT the most effective way to tell stories. The best stories are from the heart; live in the moment; the goal is to celebrate our humanity and to foster connectedness.
Student submissions that are not original research (i.e. reflections on experiences, investigations, teaching pearls, collaboration, policy development, protocols, etc.) for consideration for oral presentation and publication in IJAM.
